Celebrity Golf Classics
Since 1996 we have been hosting the annual Footballers Golf Classic in the world famous La Manga Club Resort, Murcia, Spain. This successful event has been running since this time with 40 teams playing annually for the chance to win the coveted title and Green jacket, in a major competition historically covered by Sky TV.
The Griffin family, John, Kieran and Liam of Addison Lee generously continue to sponsor and support the event as they have done since 1997. John, Kieran & Liam not only sponsor the event but compete too and as 4 time winners they are a team to watch out for.
The 5 nights consists of, accommodation at the Hotel Principe Felipe La Manga Club, daily buffet breakfast, Welcome buffet dinner & draw, BBQ dinner, Gala dinner & prize giving with entertainment, 4 rounds of competition golf (1 day Alan Ball Trophy & 3 day Addison Lee main event), event gifts, prizes, trophies & a full colour printed itinerary. Entry of a team of 3 or individual is welcomed. If individual we will place you in a team. You will be drawn to play with a different football legend for each day. The Alan Ball Trophy is pre drawn and played on the Sunday. The draw for the main event takes place at the welcome dinner on Sunday evening. Saturday & Thursday are arrival/departure days with nothing specific planned other than if you are a Green Jacket winner, the Green Jacket dinner takes place on the evening of Saturday 5th June. If entering a team of 3, 2 rooms will be required in the hotel to accommodate 3 people and therefore a single room supplement applied.
Celebrities who have joined the golf classic on previous occasions include Trevor Brooking, Francis Lee, Steve Bull, Matt Le Tissier, Graeme Sharp, Glenn Hoddle, Liam Brady, Pat Jennings and Kenny Dalglish, to name but a few.
Due to the phenomenal success of this event we introduced a second celebrity golf classic event in November each year which has traditionally been held in Dubai. 2010 saw the event move to the beautiful island of Barbados, which we now look forward to annually.
