2020 Royal Cinque Ports Event

What a day we had at our recent golf event at "Royal Cinque Ports GC" in Deal, Kent. Attempting to get our celebrity events back on track has been impossible this year, this being the first event of 2020 for us.

10 enthusiastic teams and footballers turned up on the South Coast, at one of the finest Championship Links your likely to play, in absolute perfect weather conditions. Virtually 9 holes with the wind and 9 into the wind made it a tale of two halves when I checked the scores as they came in.

The footballers who competed were Dave Beasant, Paul Walsh, Wally Downes, Mark Barham, Graham Roberts, Teddy Sheringham, Liam Brady, Perry Digweed, Steve Gatting, & Steve Lovell.

Everyone commented on what a great golf course and perfect conditions to play this Open Championship challenge.

The winning team with 93 points was: G. Roberts, W. Sheldon, J. Brady, L. Long. The winning footballer was: Liam Brady, with 37 points, pipping Graham Roberts and Paul Walsh by 1 point.

The word is already out that we will be taking on this challenge again in July/August 2021, once the date is confirmed we will list the event on here. Look out for the date and don’t miss what is a stunning track that you should be marking off your bucket list of golf courses to play.
